Where is my data stored?
Your inventories and settings are stored locally in the app on your iPhone. OT Catcher has no account service or cloud sync of its own for this data.
Apple may include app data in a device backup, depending on your settings. A backup is not automatic synchronisation between devices. Check that your backup is up to date before deleting the app or replacing your iPhone.
Restoring data
Do not delete the app if data is missing or a storage error occurs: this also deletes local data and recovery copies. Open “Data & recovery” in the app settings to restore an available local recovery copy. Recent changes may be lost when restoring.
A local recovery copy stays on the same iPhone and is not an external backup. CSV and JSON exports are not full app backups. Keep your exports in a suitable location. Contact support if recovery fails or if you are unsure before restoring data.
Restoring purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. It unlocks CSV and JSON exports.
Already purchased, but seeing the Premium screen again? Check that you use the same Apple Account for App Store purchases as when you purchased Premium. Open the Premium screen, for example by starting an export, and tap “Restore purchases”. Make sure you have an internet connection. The app checks your purchase with Apple and unlocks Premium once it is verified.
Purchase restoration only restores your premium entitlement, not your inventory. See also Apple’s purchase restoration guide. Do not pay again if you believe you have already purchased; contact support first.
Camera, photos and location
Manage permissions in your iPhone settings. You can enter data manually. Location suggestions require configured site coordinates and location permission. Address lookup uses Apple; a photo stored only in iCloud may need to be downloaded first.
